Ashley graduated with honours from the McMaster Midwifery Education Program in 2013. Before pursuing midwifery, Ashley completed a degree in Physiology & Pharmacology and a Master’s degree in Developmental Biology (Fetal Neural Development) from the University of Western Ontario.
She feels passionate about guiding and teaching the next cohort of midwives and is now a tutor and clinical preceptor for the McMaster Midwifery Education Program.
Ashley grew up in Barrie, but has been laying down roots in Hamilton for the last 7 years. She loves combining her interests in travel and maternal & infant health which has led to many rewarding experiences, such as working alongside local midwives at a rural hospital in Tanzania. In her free time, if she doesn’t have an adventurous trip planned, you’ll find her hiking the Bruce trail, camping or enjoying one of Hamilton’s many fabulous restaurants. She is honoured to walk beside women and their families through such an important time in their lives.
