Thank you, Emma!

I was halfway through my first pregnancy in March when everything shut down. I was devastated and nervous about what this would mean for my care and my birth experience. I am forever grateful to Access Midwives for calming all of those fears and facilitating the best birth experience I could’ve asked for.

At every appointment in clinic, I was given multiple opportunities to ask questions (I always came with a list!) & every one of my questions were answered. Emma, Cait & Kristen were the dream team!

On July 21st, my water broke and we were able to have the water birth at home that we had hoped & prayed for. Emma encouraged me and coached me through everything — she reminded me that I could do anything for 60 seconds. And with each contraction, she told me to do exactly as I’d done before. If I got through one, I could get through all of them. This verbal affirmation was so encouraging & I was amazed that Emma knew exactly what I needed without me having to say it.

Our little Lucille is now 5 months & healthy as can be. We are eternally grateful to everyone at Access Midwives!
