Meet Sabrina Jaspers Registered Social Worker
Sabrina Jaspers is a Registered Social Worker and experienced clinician working and operating in the Hamilton area for 13 years. Sabrina is currently completing her third and final year of her Masters of Social Work Degree through Dalhousie University where she has focused most of her research and studies on maternal mental health and the variables that help and hinder women of all different walks of life. She has 9 years of experience as a clinical social worker providing direct therapy to individuals who are experiencing mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and traumatic stress. Her passion is prevention work for those at risk of postpartum depression and anxiety, and treatment, helping women gain the skills, supports, and strengths to navigate the transition into motherhood. She has received certification for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through the Adler Institute in Toronto. Sabrina will be temporarily joining our team until May 2020 as an MSW Student and will be offering supportive counselling to women in need. Sabrina has three boys ages 9, 7, and 7 and has had her own experiences of postpartum anxiety which fuels her passion for helping others.
