Jessica Kaut, New Registrant
I graduated with honours from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University. Prior to entering the midwifery profession I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
I was very passionate about gymnastics while competing, coaching, and judging for many years before exploring further how our amazing bodies work and can be helped with Massage Therapy.
As a result of this interest, I completed a two-year diploma program and have been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist for 18 years. During my training, I specialized in prenatal massage and infant massage therapy instruction. It was during this training that I was exposed to Midwifery care, which led to my desire to become a midwife. I have found my training as a Registered Massage Therapist very helpful for women during their labour experience.
I have also been blessed to have two children, born at home, into the hands of midwives.
I have called Elmira home for most of my life, but I am excited to explore Hamilton and all that it has to offer.
I am constantly amazed at the strength that women and their bodies possess as they grow a new life and bring life into the world. To walk alongside women and their families during this process is an honour. I look forward to working with your family!
