Elise was born and raised in Hamilton and feels very lucky to call this city home. Her love for midwifery started early when she participated in a co-op in high school at a local midwifery clinic. She had the amazing privilege of attending a birth with a midwife in Grade 11 and has been hooked on the incredibly fascinating process of birth every since. She has been a practicing midwife at Access Midwives since she graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at Laurentian University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. Her love for her job comes from getting to build meaningful relationships with families as they go through one of the most amazing and challenging times in their lives. Outside of midwifery, Elise and her husband live in downtown Hamilton and enjoy spending time with their community of friends and family. Elise has recently been introduced to the world of cycling and is just trying to master the art of clip-in cycling shoes!
Please note that Elise Ford is on Maternity leave. Please call us for more information.
