Mojgan Naminiasl, General Registrant

Hello, My name is Mojgan Naminiasl .I am Originally from Iran where I received a BSc in midwifery from Shiraz Medical University of Iran in 1993. I practiced midwifery in Iran from 1993 to 2003 at which time I immigrated to Canada.
Most of my friends who were midwives back home chose to pursue nursing careers in Canada and they advise me do the same. I got my registered nurse (RN) license after passing RN exam and worked as a nurse in Labour and Delivery in different hospitals in Ontario from 2004 to 2008. But I knew midwifery was my goal. Being aware of the benefits of midwifery care in Ontario, to women, families and communities gave me the motivation to try to enter into the International Midwifery Preregistration Program (IMPP) at Ryerson University in 2009.

I started working as a midwife in different practices in Ontario after completing the IMPP program in 2010. I am thrilled to be part of the great team of Access Midwives and I feel honoured and grateful for the opportunity to be with women and their families throughout their pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods. I look forward to working with you!
