PURPLE TEAM STUDENT

Hello, My name is Meeta Bhana (she/her), I am a fourth-year midwifery student at McMaster University, excited to continue my learning journey with the midwives and clients of Access Midwives.
Before pursuing midwifery, I earned a BSc from Western University and a BSc in physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. I then worked as a physiotherapist for five years. When I became a mother, I chose to step away from my career to focus on raising my children. After 21 years, I had a deep calling to return to healthcare. I’ve always had a passion for women’s health and caring for pregnant people. Rather than returning to physiotherapy, I made the life-changing decision to become a midwife.
For the past 28 years, I have called Hamilton home. I am married, a proud mother of two lovely young men and a devoted human to an 8-year-old Goldendoodle. I try to stay active with regular weight training and slow jogging. I also enjoy gardening, cooking for my family and experimenting with gluten-free baking – because life is too short not to enjoy a little sweetness along the way!

I look forward to working with and learning from the midwives and clients at Access Midwives. My commitment is to always put my best effort forward, applying my knowledge and to provide supportive, comprehensive, and culturally safe care.
