We want to send a huge thank you out to all members of the pink team (Elise, Amanda, Madeline and Hania) for the exceptional care provided during our pregnancy, birth and initial postpartum period with our surprise third and final baby! We had experienced midwifery care from Elise almost 9 years previously with our second baby that was also second to none, and prior to that Lynlee provided exceptional care for us with our first baby. This last pregnancy, I wanted desperately to have a home birth (I had wanted that with both of the other babes but my husband felt more comfortable planning a hospital birth). After our second baby arrived fast and furious and barely making it to the hospital, I spent many prenatal appointments talking about the risks and pros and cons of a home birth this time and ultimately that is what we decided on. Elise, Amanda and Madeline were all so supportive of my decision and despite the uncertainties and fears of being an older mom this time around and the added risks associated with that, they worked with me to make sure I had the birth I dreamed of. It could not have gone better, from my perspective. Our final post partum visit was bittersweet, saying goodbye to Elise and the team and knowing we would not be back. They truly feel like part of the family by the end!
