Ellis Elvikis

This was my second time using access midwives and I was fortunate to have the same team again, the blue team (Lynn Lee, Genevieve and Connie). Once again they all made me feel cared for, respected, never rushed or pressured. 2 weeks before my due date by 2 year old daughter broke her femur and ended up in a spica cast and needed a lot of extra care. This put a lot of worries on my heart for how the day I went into labour would pan out but my team helped me to prepare for a possible home birth, or hospital birth if needed and reassured me the day of as it was hard for me to leave her side. I ended up needing to go to the hospital where Connie delivered my baby boy, Ellis weighing 11lbs 10oz delivered naturally without medications as I had hoped for again this second time. I had a more difficult delivery this time around but she instilled confidence and helped me to get through when I struggled to believe I could. She truly went above and beyond helping me through the day and I am forever thankful for another positive birth experience. The admin staff was also amazing, they are so kind and welcoming to everyone. It really makes a world of a difference the entire level of care you receive at access midwives - we will continue to recommend them!
