Rosie

My experience with Access Midwives and my birth team was absolutely perfect. My midwives were Erin, Tamara and Simone, but much of my care, and the delivery, was attended by Erin and her student Nicole. From the very beginning I felt that my baby and I were in excellent hands. I felt that my care was very personalized and that I was really able to build a relationship with the women who would help me welcome my baby into the world. They not only prioritized my physical health, but the mental and emotional health of me and my husband as well.

The birth of our daughter, Rosie, was truly beautiful. It felt intimate and calm, and Erin and Nicole were so supportive of my needs and wishes. It was a very empowering experience. Their knowledge, professionalism and clear love of what they do allowed me to deliver my daughter safely and in the way I always dreamed of. Rosie Josephine was born on January 27th, 2021 at McMaster Health Sciences.

One of the many wonderful things about having a midwife is the at-home care afterwards. For 6 weeks, my midwife team came to our home to check on Rosie and our family. It allowed us to ask questions and for advice regularly, and eased the burden of taking a newborn out and about in those early whirlwind days!

I cannot recommend Access Midwives enough and look forward to seeing Erin and the team again if we are lucky enough to grow our family once more.
