We can't say enough good things about Access Midwives, and our experience with Tamara and Erin, as well as Nicole for some of my home visits this past July with the birth of our daughter Violet.  

This was my second pregnancy and I had used OB's for my first - mainly because I just didn't really know much about midwife care. I decided to go with midwives for my second because of the good things I had heard as well as the convenience of at-home visits after the birth. 

My first pregnancy resulted in an unplanned c-section, so I had the choice to go the c-section route or VBAC with this pregnancy. I hadn't yet decided when I met with Erin/Tamara, but they were very helpful in laying out my options and not pressuring me in either direction, just providing support in my decision-making. I loved the personalized visits during my pregnancy and they were always so helpful with all questions and concerns I had.

I eventually decided on an elective c-section. Erin was in the operating room with us when I delivered Violet, and in recovery afterwards to help with breastfeeding and latching, which was so amazing! I was unable to breastfeed with my first child (mainly because I had no idea what I was doing, and no one to tell me what to do!), but with so much support and help from Erin I was successful in breastfeeding with Violet. The in hospital visits from Erin were so amazing, and because we had midwife care we were able to go home sooner than normal after a c-section.

At home visits after the birth were so convenient and helpful since I couldn't do as much recovering from a c-section (and had a toddler running around too :)). I felt like Violet and I were in such great hands with such attentive and supportive care. 

Thank you so much to Access Midwives for their care throughout this whole pregnancy and birth - I recommend Access Midwives all the way!
